In this context, the bio-based economy emerges as a key lever to reconcile environmental responsibility, technological progress, and economic development. By valorising renewable biological resources and encouraging circular approaches, the bio-based economy opens pathways to more resilient industries, innovative value chains, and future-oriented jobs. It offers students a unique opportunity to contribute to solutions that address real-world sustainability challenges.

The BISC-E Challenge invites multidisciplinary student teams to transform ideas into concrete bio-based innovations and to engage with the skills, mindsets, and collaborations needed to shape tomorrow's economy.
